Day 8, July 4, Glacier National Park, 5 miles from Canada

The coldest water I have ever touched that was not solid, all the water in the lakes/rivers was snow run off and seriously cold, Yes Allen would need a dry suit.

The trail to the Glacier, we could not go, the last 2 miles was covered in snow, to deep for our ability/equipment/condition.

32 miles through the park over the road to the sun, we went west to east, and was going to turn around and go east to west but bad weather came in and the mountain road was to dangerous, penny size hail and 45 mph winds sent us back a different way, actually to a motel. The upper cut back is where we tried to go to a glacier once again turned back by snow, this is where it started storming.

Run off the road, it's a long way down

Finally found a mountain goat

The 3 pictures above the water actually poured onto the road, The convertibles coming down here were panicking, they got soaked and the water is unbelievably cold.

Wow...that looks like an amazing trip! Must have been overwhelming to see the glaciers cut straight through the land. inspiring.
